The students of SBUP, understood the real and meaningful use cases of 5G & it’s new possibilities in upcoming years, on the first day on #IMC22. Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP) is proud to be associated as Academic partner of India Mobile Congress (IMC), the largest telecom, media, and technology forum in Asia, jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). IMC 2022 aims at building ideas, forging long lasting industry relationships, showcasing leading-edge mobile technology and product trends in today’s scenario. The event brings together representatives from business, industry leaders, government, and other ecosystem players to deliberate, discuss, and demonstrate the most recent developments in the TMT & ICT sector.
Not only is the India Mobile Congress the biggest technology event in Asia, it is also the biggest networking event in India in the technology space. India Mobile Congress 2022 was held between 01-04 October, 2022 and was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
He emphasized having a critical point of view and looking at the different possibilities of 5G situation. With 5G, transmission speeds will improve along with network capacity and latency. These cutting-edge skills hold enormous promise for sectors like the ones listed as Healthcare, Education, Industrial, IOT’s, Entertainment etc.
He further discussed what are the various 5G use cases and how it keeps propelling like healthcare 5G use cases will be Inventory management of machines, drugs, supplies, and medical waste, life-saving equipment’s precise position tracking, automated work orders being generated by preventive maintenance sensors, for both staff and patients a secure campus-wide network service.
For education both college campuses and schools can have private 5G to provide campus-wide network access and bridge the digital gap, quality education, collaborative projects sharing etc. Using IoT sensors to monitor student attendance, the availability of study rooms, and to provide quick and reliable outdoor learning. While in manufacturing units 5G will help in inspection, safety alarm indicator in case of haphazard which occurs due to mishappenings while working at construction sites. It will give real time interface, digital twin of construction sites, directions, mobility, guidance of workers through Boro lens.
At last, he said that 5G is only the beginning, there is more step ahead for digital India initiative, mobility is growth driven.
