Last year, in the midst of Covid-19, we had provided an update to our students, parents, alumni, faculty and patrons on how Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP) is adapting to the challenges thrown by the pandemic and complete lock-down. How is SBUP implementing technology changes to make sure SBUP MBA students are able to continue with their classes from the comfort of their homes online.
Update as of 20th December 2021
Continuing to adapt and keeping pace with the changing scenarios, Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP) campus opens to a Hybrid mode of education.
Following government and health authorities mandated guidelines, protocols and safety measures, Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP) provides MBA students the following options to continue their uninterrupted MBA classes journey. Here are a few glimpses of the transition into the Hybrid modes of bringing MBA Classes both In-Person In-Class parallelly relaying it in real-time to digital online students logging from the comfort of their homes. SBUP MBA Class of 2021-23 opted for in-person classes were welcomed to the SBUP campus in Pune and provided a walk-through of the campus while the same was parallelly broadcasted in real-time across India to the students opting for online classes.
Option A
In-Person Classes in a Bio-Bubble
The SBUP campus and hostel are both within the common campus premises. There are separate state-of-the-art hostel facilities for ladies hostel facilities and gentleman student hostel facilities. In this option, MBA Class of 2021-23 may opt to travel the SBUP Pune campus and stay in the campus hostel premises. MBA candidates are provided all facilities on the hostel / campus premises – fully functional and clean canteen, mess, laundry facilities, wi-fi and all other amenities. Students are required to produce their 2 vaccination certificates and quarantine for seven days after they check-in into the campus hostel rooms and clusters. Students are required to follow all Covid safety protocols and guidelines. Medical attention and facilities are enabled on campus and as needed to take students to nearby medical facilities. MBA students attend classes with distancing measures in place. This is a fully optional opportunity for students to learn in a safe environment.
Option B
Continue with On-line Digital Classes
In this option, modern state-of-the-art digital enablement equipment and tools have been installed within every classroom. The students can log in from the comfort of their homes and attend the live classroom sessions online on Microsoft Teams and continue to interact and engage in all classes. The SBUP MBA students are also provided with a data dongle to make sure they are equipped.
