  • How did I get into SBUP MBA program from Bhagalpur, Bihar

By Rishika Pansari. SBUP MBA Class of 2021-23

About Me

I am RISHIKA PANSARI, I am from a small town-smart city Bhagalpur, Bihar. I am born and brought up here. The city is famous for its rich heritage and religious culture as we live besides “River Ganges”. I have completed my schooling, high schooling, and graduation from here itself.

I chose to purse MBA from Sri Balaji University, Pune from BIMM to further my growth as a leader and continue my educational journey. Let’s start from how I joined SBUP which is by the assistance of my cousin whose friend is an alumnus of Sri Balaji University, Pune. Firstly he started with most important and different thing that is 3Ds– Discipline, Dedication and Determination founding principles and 365 days working habit of this University which is rare among the rarest and the Institutes. After taking to him and after doing my research I made mind to go for this University. Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP)constitutes four premier MBA Institutes – BIMM, BITM, BIIB, BIMHRD. So, I decided to take admission by clearing my papers, documents and group discussions GD and personal interview (PI).

As I am a first-year student an MBA aspirant my experience till now has been great here. Am gaining so much of knowledge by the faculties and various extra curriculum along with events and seminars conducted by the corporate world leaders.

Why did I choose SBUP?

At the time of under graduation we come across many classmates, faculties and many individuals who help us to shape our careers. They help us in many way sand to develop a good network. It is said in today’s world a good network is having good net-worth. Since childhood we start building relationships with friends, classmates and teachers.

MBA gives us better connections, better knowledge, and a lens to look into the practical world. SBUP provides some of the best professors, research supervisors, guest lectures, huge alumni network, guidance, mentorship and interaction in induction to foster good relationships.

If it’s been a while since you’ve been in college like me, consider asking professionals who know you, your strengths, your personality and have a genuine enthusiasm for your future and your success. Supervisors, office managers, anyone who has worked with you and can vouch for your work ethic and performance. Whoever you ask, make sure you ask in an appropriate manner. Always make an appointment to discuss your request and ask early, give them time to complete the request.

Learning virtually at SBUP:

My online learning experience as a student is not so good. I only like how I don’t have to wake up at 6 every day. What I don’t like about it is that for me it’s confusing when a teacher gives us work mostly since it’s easier for me to do work with instructions that the teacher gives. Being in a physical classroom makes me only focus on my work, but online learning makes it harder to focus because I also focus on household stuff, and it throws me off. I would not want to do online learning in the future because it is hard for me to concentrate on my work only. My online learning experience has been different than what I’m used to. I love that I get to work from the comfort of my home; however, I would rather be in a physical classroom doing my work because it gives me the opportunity to ask questions when needed, and in my own opinion, it is much more effective than online learning. Compared to learning in physical classroom online classes seem more difficult because you don’t get the hands-on learning like you do in a physical classroom. In the future, I’d choose a physical classroom over online any day. The reason being, it’s easier for me to understand the lesson plans and put my new knowledge into effect.

I am happy that the Institute has introduced the concept of Bio Bubble whereby students who are willing to come to the SBUP Pune campus can study at the campus in person. All safety precautions are taken care of. The campus is self-sufficient.

Lastly working on dreams:

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”. If your dreams are vital to you, you’ll find a way. If your dreams are important to you, you won’t give up on them. Every day you get a new chance, a chance to start over and make a profound change in your life. There is nothing wrong with investing time to work on your dreams. It is those who sacrifice a lot for their dreams that get to live them. The people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do.

  • Accept who you are
  • Don’t try to make everyone happy
  • Stop comparing yourself to others
  • Choose your circle of friends wisely
  • Don’t be afraid to dream big
  • Master self-discipline

My motto: have a unique perspective, a vision and keep contributing to the world in the short time we live here.

Thank you.
